Description

Increase scores in your middle school classroom by motivating students with Data Notebooks! Your kids will soon take ownership of their learning, challenging themselves to improve on any assessment type taken consistently throughout the year. Not only will they log scores in chronological order across assessment types, they will reflect on that score and set a goal for their next assessment. The document currently includes Star Scores (Star by Renaissance), Math Assessments (for midterm and quarter final tests), Science Quizzes, Grades (for both progress report and report card times), and Conduct scores. This file downloads as a .docx, and is totally customizable to suit your unique classroom!

BONUS: My 6th graders have a Data About Us math unit at the end of the year, in which they will learn how to graphically represent real world data. I plan to assign a project in which students use their own data from these notebooks to create their graphs and charts.
