Description

This FREE 2 page sorting activity challenges young students to determine which objects they might see in the day or night sky. The simple printables can be used in a variety of ways and challenge a variety of skills, such as fine motor skills (cutting and pasting) and the ability to classify objects.

The first page of this file is a poster with the labels, "During the day, I can see..." and "At night, I can see..." and corresponding pictures for both. Under the sun label are pictures of a cloud, sun, and blue sky. Under the night label are pictures of a star, moon, and black sky. This poster is intentionally simple and to the point as it was created for preschoolers in mind.

The second page of the file is a cut and paste template. Either teacher or students can cut along the dotted lines, and students can glue the labels and pictures onto construction paper or into a journal under the appropriate labels.

I hope you enjoy this freebie! Please follow me for more awesome products for your students!
