Stated on the handout: "Directions: As the video flashes a topic across the screen, write your feelings, opinions, and thoughts. You should practice taking a clear stance on topics. However, it is okay to be indecisive. Keep writing until the video switches to the next topic."
Use these notes with the corresponding video (Debate Topics) to help students start thinking about taking a stand on an argumentative topic.
Throughout the video, there are nine different topics. As each topic scrolls across the screen, students have one minute to brainstorm their current thoughts on the specific topic on their guided notes.

When asked to take notes my students in 6th do a better job when given a graphic organizer or page to write on, rather than a page of NB paper. Thank you for this freebie.
