*2024* Do you need some easy, no prep December morning work? This editable Question of the Day set is perfect to use every day as daily writing prompts or morning meeting questions. These daily prompts provide relevant and thought provoking questions you can use during the entire month of December. There are editable questions for each weekday, plus 3 extra questions and a blank slide to create your own prompts as you wish! Questions range from serious to funny to gross and students love them! 

Note: THIS IS A GOOGLE SLIDES RESOURCE & REQUIRES GOOGLE DRIVE.

  • 1 Google Slide Deck for Question of the Day December
  • Easy to navigate calendar linked for each weekday in December
  • 22 editable question slides with dates (M-F)
  • 3 extra questions with no date in case you'd like to swap one
  • 1 blank slide to create your own questions
  • 1 Optional Google Form - Share with your students so you can easily collect and review their answers

 ✅How do I use these Question of the Day slides?

  1. Open the Folder to access a PDF for the link to the Google Slideshow (also included is a folder with the printable journal)
  2. Make sure you are logged into Google Drive
  3. Click the link and choose “Make a Copy” 
  4. Once the file is in your Google Drive, you’re ready to use! 
  5. For virtual learning: screenshare the questions with your students
  6. For classroom learning: project the question on your classroom projector

  1. Morning work - students write their responses as soon as they get into the room
  2. Morning meeting slides- students share their responses out loud during morning meeting
  3. Centers - Students can answer the question in the Google Form during Centers or independent work time.
  4. Journaling - Set aside a "writing prompt" time during your writing block
  5. Transitioning - have the students share their responses during transitions (when lining up, when waiting for the bell to ring, etc.)
