Description

FALL is the season for learning about DECIMALS!

If you are teaching math in the intermediate grades, you know how important it is for students to confidently move through the "basics" of decimal multiplication before they move on to more complicated skills. These TASK CARD sets will help your students practice these important skills and feel more confident when multiplying decimals using visual models.

In addition, these card sets are self-checking. When the students have the correct answers, each set will reveal a different part of a favorite fall colloquialism. With this in mind, you may choose to sharing the final quote as part of a fall-themed math bulletin board, celebrating the success of your students’ work!

Teaching Suggestions:

I typically set the cards on a group desk and students complete the problems, one card at a time, by taking the card to their desk, filling in the answer, then returning it for the next card. The TASK CARDS DO NOT need to be completed in order.

EXTRA: If you need to make a modification, I have included a separate page of equations (for each set) that can be individually cut out and used to make matches with the task cards.

This product includes:

  • 40 Fall-Inspired, Full-Color Task Cards (20 for each of 2 Different Sets)
  • 40 B&W Task Cards
  • 2 Student Worksheets
  • 1 Modification "Cards" Page
  • Teaching Suggestions
  • 2 Answer Keys
