Description

Help students develop a conceptual understanding of adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing decimals with models. This resource serves as a great introduction to or reinforcement of operations with decimals. You could also make an enrichment center in lower grades to extend place value learning for advanced students.

There are three different sets of resources, in which either a dollar represents one, a 100 block represents one, or a 1,000 block represents one.

Each set includes:

  • 8.5 by 11 in Bulletin Board Posters or Reference Sheets
  • Add, Subtract, Multiply, and Divide Decimals Practice Worksheets with Modeling

Reference Sheets are also provided in a smaller format (4 to a page). The model reference sheets are great to cut and paste into an interactive notebook.

There are also 9 total Quick Check Tasks for adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing decimals to use as Exit Slips or Short Assessments. Most are error analysis tasks in each students are asked to support their answers using a model.

Perfect For...

  • Intervention Activities for Guided Math
  • Assessments to Check for Understanding
  • Introduction to Decimal Operations Unit
  • Activities to Build Conceptual Understanding

Answer Keys included.
