The math materials in a Montessori environment are a rite of passage for the children. Distance learning is robbing them of using these but I am determined to come up with solutions to offer the children similar experience. In this version of the Independent Exercises for Dynamic Addition, there are 5 sets, a chart demonstrating the concept of exchanges/carrying in the decimal system and instructions. Each set contains a page with 3 "trays" of prepared quantities of golden beads and number cards and 2 pages for the child to work through the steps of the exercise and record the total (one for visualizing the exchanges/carrying of tens and another for the visualizing of the addition/sum).
