This set of 25 decimal photo cards give your students more real life experience with decimals. The suggested questions (with answers) will help you lead an enriching discussion about decimals. But the pictures are also a good way to introduce decimals. They help with naming, saying, rounding, adding, subtracting, place value, and sorting. Perfect for math journals, centers, or whole group activities.

How can I use this product?

Printed in full color, this set of decimal task cards can be used for a math center. I have used these as prompts for their math journal or as a whole group activity. You can also display these through your computer and lead a whole class discussion. Here is an example of a suggestion question of a gasoline price - of 2.53 9/10. "What is the price of unleaded? Don’t forget the fraction? What does that fraction represent?"

The pictures were great tools for discussion. There were many repeats (gasoline and weighing items) So for $3.00, it might have been better to just create my own. The kids enjoyed seeing decimals in the real world.
