Description
Decodable reading passages are essential for Kindergarten and First Graders who are mastering sounds. This is the application of direct, explicit phonics instruction on letters and sounds and blending. The students can then read a book!
I wrote this decodable reader with CVC words to go with my Krafty Phonics Unit 2 Blending Short Vowels but they can be used alone with any phonics program.
Students are so excited when they can READ the book all by themselves! Controlled text using phonics skills and irregular sight words students have mastered allow for reading success with this book!
This is a sample of my Decodable Passages with Short Vowels which you can get by clicking HERE.
Resource includes:
1 Passage with 3 versions
The three versions are:
- One page with dots under each word to help with 1:1 correspondence
- One page Decodable Passage with CVC words
- Booklet (2 to a page for easy copying, set to staple then just chop)
