Description

This product includes 3 different reading helpers that will assist your students in their journey towards reading independency and can be used as a reward and skills statement!
Please check product preview for full description of how this product can be implemented in your classroom!
These bookmarks are divided into 3 levels.
Level 1: has directions from where to start, move on to next line, look-try to decode-say the word
Level 2: just reminds students to decode
Level 3: has no instructions at all
I start with the 1st set when we start the year, but when I feel that my students have learned how to decode words I give them the 2nd set. I let them know that they are ready to move forward and they know how to do this. Two to three months before closing the year I give them the 3rd set which shows them that they are independent readers and can read on their own. The 3rd set means they know exactly the procedure they have to follow in order to read fluently.
I do inform them about the 3 reader helpers in the beginning of the year so they see it as a challenge! They find moving to the next level rewarding!
Follow my store for more resources and don't forget to leave feedback as it means a lot to a new TpT seller like me!
