Description

These fun and engaging decodable strips are perfect for students to practice reading!

This set is all about letters and sounds - the first step in decoding and becoming a reader.

These strips are easy to set up and implement in your classroom! Simply print (colored paper or cardstock allows students to visually differentiate the separate sets included!) and laminate for durability!

Optional ways to implement:

- Students can touch and identify the letter name

- Students can touch and identify the letter sound

- Students can alternate - letter ID and then sound

- Students can name BOTH the letter ID and sound during each reading

These can be used for :

- during independent stations

- during a transition

- beginning or end of day

- fast finisher activity

- quick check / progress monitoring / assessment

ALSO INCLUDED:

You will also find simple ROLL AND READS included in this resource for the same skill.

Options include:

- Roll and identify the letter ID in that row

- Roll and identify the letter sound in that row

- Roll and identify BOTH the letter ID and sound in that row

- Extend the activity by having students write the letter (for the beginning picture option included)
