This is a project idea I use at the beginning of the year with Algebra 1 students. The goal of the project is to get them thinking about, researching and dabbling in what it means to be studying Algebra. The student creates a poster defining Algebra and decorates it with concepts and symbols that they will be learning this year. I use this project as extra credit in the first grading period. It is easy to complete and lets them use their creativity and artistry. 2 pages total. The first page explains the project and the second page contains the grading rubric. Can be run off front to back. Please download the preview to see a completed student example.
This project can also be purchased in my Algebra Projects Bundle
