Description

Do your students know what Algebra is??

This is a project idea I use at the beginning of the year with Algebra 1 students. The goal of the project is to get them thinking about, researching and dabbling in what it means to be studying Algebra.

The student creates a poster defining Algebra and decorates it with concepts and symbols that they will be learning this year. It is easy to complete and lets them use their creativity and artistry. 2 pages total.

The first page explains the project and the second page contains the grading rubric. Please download the preview to see a completed student example.
