Description
Assessment Instruction
Directions: Density is an identifying property of a substance. Determine the density for the following equations. Show all work, including equations. Make sure to include the proper units.
Formulas:
D=M/V M=D*V V= M/D
Remember :
Density greater than 1 object will sink
Density less than 1 object will float
Density of water is 1 g/ml
Water Displacement Method
You determine the volume by subtracting the volume of the water without the object from the new measurement with the object - it will be the difference between the two.
