After a relevant and engaging lesson on density, your students need to practice calculating density, mass, and volume. Nothing helps students master a skill more than scaffolded questions. This density task card activity gives your students the density, mass, and volume practice they need.

These easy-to-use density task cards save you time and give your students the opportunity to practice calculating density, mass, and volume. Simply print and cut these denity task cards and you are ready for the day. Laminating the cards makes them last even longer.

Getting observed! These density task cards break up the worksheet routine. They can be used as independent work, in small group work, and can even be used in stations to get students out of their seats. Assign one of the Google Form digital density task cards and show off your 21st-century skills in a digital lesson and cover the all-important student assessment component of your observation. With automatic graphs and charts, student feedback is a breeze. Individual printable or digital density task cards and supplemental worksheets make differentiation almost automatic.

With a total of sixty-three scaffolded density questions in three different task card decks, you have plenty of material for a pretest, practice, and review or test prep. You will use these density task cards year after year. Use a round corner punch for that added professional look.

    • Focused Practice - The density task card deck includes cards for calculating mass, cards for calculating volume, and cards for calculating density.
    • Scaffolded Questions - The density task card deck contains twelve simple “plug and chug” questions related to force, mass, and acceleration. Students simply solve for the missing value. Each force task card deck also includes twelve unique force word problems describing a scenario involving force, mass, and acceleration. Students are asked to read and identify each necessary value provided before solving for the missing value.
    • Student Response Sheet -  The density task card deck comes with a student response sheet where students can record their answers. Students can perform their calculations and show their work in an interactive notebook or on a separate sheet of paper they can turn in with their response sheet.
    • Student Self-Assess Checksum - Each density task card response sheet includes a checksum students can use to determine if they have performed all the calculations and rounding correctly.
    • Detailed Answer Keys - Each density task card deck comes with an answer sheet for quick and easy grading. (All calculations are included in the interactive force PowerPoint.)
    • Interactive PowerPoint - In addition to the density task cards, an interactive density PowerPoint is also included. The PowerPoint is perfect for whole class or small group instruction. It can be used as an introduction to density, mass, and volume calculations. It is excellent as a review. It can also be used as a quick and easy way to go over independent work in class.
    • Google Forms Quizzes - As an added bonus, you can access three self-grading Google Forms quizzes corresponding the density task cards. These are easy to assign, easy to assess and provide valuable feedback and data.

    • 63 printable and digital task cards with relevant, engaging, and challenging density questions
    • Student Response Sheet with a self-assess checksum for each group of 9 cards.
    • Six density worksheets
    • Assess to Google Forms for all task cards
    • Answer Key for all cards
