This descriptive writing template follows a "Mad Libs" style. Students fill out the Graphic Organizers or Story Organizers as I call them first and then fill in the template with the answers they used in the story organizer. Images/symbols are used to match the Story Organizer questions with where they are supposed to go on the Writing Template.

This includes two versions one being for Personal Narratives and the second for Picture Prompt stories. The Personal Narratives include 4 levels of templates and the Picture Prompts include 3 levels of templates. Each template gets harder by including more spots to include a descriptive word or adjective.

I like my students to fill these out and then type them up as well as an early finisher activity!
