My students always love this short writing assignment! It is perfect to throw into a sub binder, a great way to introduce point of view, an easy activity to have on hand for speedy finishers, or a homework assignment for the whole class. The options are endless!

I normally plan at least 45 minutes for students to complete this activity. You could expand it to last a couple of days if you do prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and sharing. My students always love to read their writing in front of the class and see if their classmates can guess their object!
