Description
Students will work in pairs or independently using their knowledge of perimeter and area to design a zoo! Students will begin by watching an introduction presentation outlining their task. They will then receive a rubric, checklist of requirements, a draft blueprint grid, and a final blueprint grid. Students will include 10 large animal exhibits, gift shops, bathrooms, a park, an aquarium or reptile house, restrooms, and more! They will have the option to use their critical thinking and creative skills to include extra exhibits of their choice. The suggested key is for each square to equal 100 square feet (area) and each square side length to equal 1 foot (perimeter).
