Description
Differentiated close reading for 2nd or 3rd graders! This product includes two differentiated versions of the same passage. Version A is written at a Lexile Level of 410 and it is 178 words long (below 2nd and 3rd grade Common Core reading level range). Version B is written at a Lexile Level of 680 and is 372 words long (meeting 2nd and 3rd grade Common Core reading level range). You can choose the level you feel is most appropriate for your students.
Both sets of passages seamlessly use the same close reading and text dependent response pages (two pages).
This product is a short version of a similar and much larger product! The BIG product includes 97 original Lexile Leveled reading passages. Each Common Core Standard has five passages and close reading activities specifically dedicated along with a page of spiraling activities for the rest of the standards. There is a 2nd or 3rd grade version available.
