Differentiated Fun Addition Word Problems

Description

Each of the three levels of word problems feature the same context but different numbers for different challenges. Insert your name at the top, change the names of the students to match yours, and have fun! Tell them that you've been researching things about them, and this is what you found. Let them choose the right level for them or assign yourself.

Engaging and interesting. Kids will eagerly get to work solving problems about themselves and their classmates. Talk about personalized learning :)

Level 1 is the "Challenge" edition; Level 2 is "Extra Challenging); Level 3 is "Ultra Challenging".

5 problems per level

Example:

  1. Ian loves poppy seed bagels for snack after school. Yesterday as he was eating one, he counted 354 seeds on one half of the bagel, and 567 seeds on the other half. How many seeds were there in total?

1A. How many more seeds would be needed to make 1,000?
