Description

If you are looking for a way to incorporate real-life application into your math instruction on decimals and percentages, you must check out this multi-level worksheet activity!

Students solve common math problems that may arise while eating at a restaurant. Problems include budgeting, tax, tip, and determining total cost. All realistic scenarios that could be encountered by middle school or high school students eating out. The questions work the students through the main problem by breaking it into step by step problems. Great way to support instruction of word problems or show real application for multi-step equations in every day life.

This download also includes differentiated "tip" sheets to reach students at all levels. Give the worksheet alone or support students who struggle with word problems by giving them one of the 2 leveled tip sheets (one gives the algebraic equation and the other gives the composition of the function to solve the question).
