Description

Stop searching for different practice worksheets on complex numbers to meet the specific needs of your students and use this mixed level practice worksheet to challenge every student in your class at once! This practice is divided into three sections (mild, medium and spicy). Students will choose the appropriate level (and move on to more challenging questions when ready!). And since you will probably have at least one student who flies through all of these with time to spare, I included a half sheet with "extra spicy" questions you can give to students who finish early and need an additional challenge.

Objective: Students will simplify expressions with complex numbers including rationalizing the denominator.

What you'll get:

  • 12 mild questions
  • 8 medium questions
  • 4 spicy questions
  • 3 extra spicy questions
  • Answer Key

While students are working, questions and common misconceptions about specific problems will come up. I love to have a large, digital version of each question so I can display it on the board during discussions. I included a google slide version with one question on each slide for you to use while students are working.

If you are trying to save time at the copy machine, you can also share the google slide with students and have them write answers on their own papers.
