Description

Assessing basic skills with young students through distance learning can be difficult. This Basic Skills Assessment makes it easier. Partner with parents to perform important skill assessment and monitor progress. Assess students using the digital slide show and paper recording sheet.

This assessment is designed to be used with distance learning but could be used in a classroom too. For distance learning, a parent sits at a computer/tablet with the child and records the responses on the paper recording sheet. This can be used in the classroom as well eliminating the need for printing color pages and laminating.

Skills Covered:

•Colors

•Shapes

•Uppercase/Lowercase Letters

•Letter Sounds

•Numbers 0-10

•Numbers 11-20*

Being placed in a temporary position for a limited time, these assessments came in handy and gave the future homeroom teacher some insight about the students in advance.
