This Beginning Sounds Sorting (Throw It in the Trash!) resource is completely digital! No more long hours of printing, cutting, laminating, standing in line at the copy machine, sending work packets home, etc. Once downloaded, simply add to your Google Drive and (optional) assign on Google Classroom. Now you're done and ready!
You could set this activity up as a literacy center using Ipads, tablets, smartphones, or on the computer or laptop. Or you can project the slides onto the board and complete it as a class activity!
This resource is also perfect for DISTANCE LEARNING. Each student will receive their own copy and you will be able to check each student's work!!- All through google classroom!
There is one slide for each letter of the alphabet (a-z). Each letter (or slide) has 4 pictures that begin with the focus letter and 3 pictures that will go "in the trash" or that do not start with the focus letter. Students will sort the pictures by their beginning sounds by dragging each picture to its correct location.
There are also 5 additional slides for the 5 long vowel sounds for those students needing a challenge.
