Students will read each word problem, decide which operation or operations are needed to solve the problem, and finally solve the problem. I made the slides interactive - first, students read the problem, then they will choose the operation(s) and drag a highlighting circle or circles over the symbol(s) they need to use. Finally, students solve the problem and then type the answer in the text box. There are just a few multi-step problems included giving students the opportunity to practice differentiating between single-step and multi-step problems.
