Caribbean Pirates: Curse of the Exponential Regressions

Here is what this Breakout includes:

1. Access to my Pirate website

2. Five Lock boxes

a. Lock 1 – Ten Exponential Functions and finding the y-intercept from equations, graphs and tables (google form)

b. Lock 2 – Evaluating exponential functions given This is a matching activity. Students can do this by hand or use a calculator. (google draw)

c. Lock 3 – Exponential Growth and Decay from tables. This activity will have students sing technology to find out the equation of the exponential function, and then use their equation to find a real-world answer. A calculator is needed for this activity. (google form)

d. Lock 4 – Find the domain and range of each situation. Some real world and others just equations. (google form)

e. Lock 5 – Five problems writing exponential functions from Real-World situations. (Google form)

This is a GREAT online activity or in the classroom. Students can collaborate or work individually on this breakout.
