Description

Looking for a fun interactive digital teaching idea for rounding to the nearest 10 and 100? Well bingo! Look no further as this Digital Rounding Numbers Game 3rd Grade Word Problems Rounding Google Form Scavenger Hunt, for CCSS 3.NBT.1, will serve as an exciting lesson plan for 3rd grade elementary school classrooms. This is a great resource to incorporate into your unit as a guided math center rotation, review game exercise, small group work, morning work, remediation, intervention, or rti. It can also be used as a quiz, drill, test, or assessment tool to help determine student mastery of the learning target. Whether a student is homeschooled or given this task as a homework assignment, kids will love working on these for distance learning at home to study and improve their skills.

This grocery themed digital scavenger hunt set includes ten rounding word problems in a Google form that can be integrated into your Google Classroom or simply accessed through the given link in the included pdf file. This also includes pdf printable sheets that can be printed on card stock and laminated for long-term use. This is a great activity for students to use throughout the year for enrichment when they finish early.

It covers rounding whole numbers to the nearest ten and hundred using word problems. Students will learn to follow the rounding rule of rounding up at 5 or more and rounding down at 4 or less. Students will solve the questions to round off numbers to the given place value and, as a reward for the correct answer, find the grocery item to add to the cart. This will help students gain confidence in an important and sometimes challenging skill. Your 3rd graders will love to practice and learn to develop the strategy of using the method of rounding to approximate and estimate numbers!

I hope you download and enjoy this engaging hands-on remote learning activity with your students! So set those worksheets aside and give our scavenger hunt a try!

I have assigned this to a 3rd grade group of my students. This group needs little to no guidance from a teacher or parent. I do not think all of my students could do this without supervision. It's a great product, but depending on the level of the student will depend on success.
