Description

This pack gives you a concrete way to teach inference skills to your students. The students look at an action picture and read the story that goes along with it to make inferences. The set is broken into 5 lessons so you can assign lessons for several days. Check out my kids using the paper version of this activity on my blog. Download the preview to check out the online games.

Click here and here for a couple of free paper activities to try.

Included in the pack are:

  • Inference poster to help kids know how to infer
  • 10 half-sized posters with a picture and text for the kids to use to infer
  • 10 inference worksheets that go along with the posters. They provide questions about the picture and story to give guidance while inferring.
  • 5 pages of clue cards-total of 30cards with inference clues
  • 5 pages of picture cards-total of 30 cards-to match to the clue cards
  • 2 online inference games

These posters are a great way to get kids to infer using text and pictures. I'm sure your kids will enjoy them as much as my kids do.

TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Access to Computers, Laptops, Chromebooks or mobile devices
  • Access to viewing Google Slides

I hope this helps out in your digital distance learning classroom.

Be well!

I absolutely loved these activities about making inferences for my students. My students struggle with understanding what they read. The use of visuals along with descriptions of well known people, places, and things allowed my students at all skill levels to be successful with these activities. Thank you so much.

I used the clue slides to practice making inferences. I did remove some of the picture options because I felt like there were too many for 6 and 7 year olds. The kids did well and seemed to enjoy it.
