These slides can be used in a variety of ways as well as with a variety of grades. This resource was created to be used with Third grade but can be used with first or second as well. You can use them as part of your instruction or review. They can be used and assigned as centers. These slides are editable and you can create more by duplicating the slides and adding your own problems. This resource includes the following:

*I use this with my Third Graders. I have broken it apart into the different lessons. I create a screen castify to explain the concept and the work. I have also used it with my in person students I display the information on my smart board, then digitally assign the practice to them in class using Google Classroom. Understand that the three digits of a three-digit number represent amounts of hundreds, tens, and ones; e.g., 706 equals 7 hundreds, 0 tens, and 6 ones. Understand the following as special cases:
Read and write numbers to 1000 using base-ten numerals, number names, and expanded form.
Add and subtract within 1000, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method. Understand that in adding or subtracting three-digit numbers, one adds or subtracts hundreds and hundreds, tens and tens, ones and ones; and sometimes it is necessary to compose or decompose tens or hundreds.
