Digital Interactive Montessori-Style Decimal Board - Distance Learning
Share

Description

This digital material is meant to mirror the Montessori Decimal Board. Because of its interactive nature, it can be used by teachers to introduce and model abstract concepts as well as by students as they practice follow-up activities.

It can easily be shared with students through Google Classroom/Google Docs and can be screen-shared through many virtual meeting platforms for live lesson demonstrations. If you choose to do this, I suggest clicking on full screen view and eliminating speaker notes. The interactivity of this product will not work in “presentation” mode.

The board itself is locked in place and will not move as students/teachers work with the material. The numeral cards and manipulatives, however, will move freely about the screen. To return a manipulative to its original location, either drag it back, or click the “undo” button.

This material can be used as part of the following Montessori lessons:

-Presentation of Quantity (4.NF.C.5, 4.NF.C.6, 5.NBT.A.1, 5.NBT.A.2, 5.NBT.A.3)
