Description
My students get pulled into this project right away. Each one becomes a lord, lady, knight, or peasant and keeps a first-person journal about daily life in feudal society.
The project fits comfortably into 5–6 class periods (45 minutes each). Students build the journal one page at a time, adding facts, images, and details from their character’s point of view.
By the end, they’ve created a journal they’re proud of that captures what everyday life felt like in the Middle Ages.
