Description

100% Editable through Google Slides!

This product includes the Fluency Practice, Application Problem, and Concept Development for all 16 lessons in the Engage NY Fourth Grade Module 4.

(Interactive Problem Sets, Exit Tickets, and Homework for these lessons are available in a separate product in my store.  See the links to companion products below.)

This module focuses on geometry - attributes and classification of triangles and quadrilaterals, symmetry, angle measure.

Use alongside the modules or on their own! This would be great for review and test prep even if you don't use the modules as your curriculum!

Multiple Ways to Use:

1. Display the slides on your SMART Board/projector to use in whole group lessons and keep you and your students on track throughout the lesson.

2. Print out the slides and give to students as a set of notes/independent worksheets that students can complete as you work your way through the lesson.

3. Share the Google Slides with your students. Students are able to fill in their responses to equations, word problems, questions, etc. by typing in the answer boxes provided throughout the slides.

Each lesson is made up of 3 main parts:

  • Fluency Practice - Review of previously learned skills.  This should be a quick ten minute review.  This can be done during whole group or during a teacher center included in math workshop rotations.
  • Application Problem - This is like a Word Problem of the Day. This can be done independently in a math journal, with partners or in a small group, or as a whole class.
  • Concept Development - Today’s Focus Lesson.  This is the main content of the lesson.

Learning targets are stated at the top of each slide.

Lesson 1 is included as the preview file so you can see what you will get for each of the 16 lessons!

Recognize angles as geometric shapes that are formed wherever two rays share a common endpoint, and understand concepts of angle measurement:
An angle is measured with reference to a circle with its center at the common endpoint of the rays, by considering the fraction of the circular arc between the points where the two rays intersect the circle. An angle that turns through 1/360 of a circle is called a “one-degree angle,” and can be used to measure angles.
An angle that turns through 𝘯 one-degree angles is said to have an angle measure of 𝘯 degrees.
