After 13 years of experience teaching Kindergarten and First Grade, I became a certified Reading Recovery teacher. Coupling my knowledge of curriculum and instruction at the K/1st levels with my new knowledge of reading development, I have authored/created my own original printable leveled books for beginning readers for use with guided reading groups, tutoring, and/or homework. These texts were designed with the Fountas & Pinnell Guided Reading Text Level Descriptions for texts and readers AND K/1st Science & Social Studies Content in mind.
Texts are also aligned to ELA Common Core for Kindergarten and First Grade.
