Find answers to your questions about these SAT Math Formulas:

✋ Why are these handwritten?

  • I feel like it's easier to organize it visually this way for my students. Typing limits how I can organize the notes.

✋ Why is the percent change formula different than what I am used to?

  • There is a specific way I teach percent change that does not align with how some teachers teach it; therefore, the formula may differ from what students are used to. Everything else is pretty standard. I've had more success teaching students that percent change equals the change over the original and then having them turn the decimal into a percentage rather than including multiplying by 100 in the formula.

Included Concepts:

  • Linear equations
  • Quadratics and parabolas
  • Sine, cosine, tangent, secant, cosecant, and cotangent
  • Pythagorean Theorem
  • Mean, median, mode, and range
  • Standard deviation
  • Probability, permutations, and combinations
  • Distance formula
  • Midpoint formula
  • Equation of a circle
  • Perimeter, area, surface area, and volume formulas
  • Circumference
  • Special right triangles
  • Supplementary, complementary, and vertical angles
  • Discriminant
  • Percent change
  • Arc length
  • Area of a sector
  • Rates
  • Sum of interior angles
  • Sum of exterior angles
  • Laws of exponents
  • Factoring
  • Formulas specific to functions
  • Arithmetic sequences
  • Geometric sequences
  • Exponential growth and decay
  • Rules for radicals
