The game was designed to be used with kindergarten-3rd grade, however, my colleagues have chosen to use it with their older special needs students and as a review for 3rd-5th. I invite you to do the same.I usually start by showing the digraph and saying the sound it represents. As students get more advanced, I stop showing the cards and only pronounce the sounds and a few frequently used words that have the sound. Students also like to pronounce the sounds of the digraphs and get to do so when they win a round.

Also, get CVC bingo. Great way to practice and re-teach CVC words.
