Description
This is a double-sided page over direct and inverse variation with notes on one side and practice on the other.
On the front, the student fills in blanks regarding what happens to the variables for each variation. Then they record the equation for each and graph an example.
Next, 4 examples follow where the student is given a table of values and is asked to determine whether a direct or inverse relation is represented. Then, they write the corresponding equation.
On examples 5 and 6, the student is given a description of a variation and has to find the value of x or y.
The back provides 12 questions that can be used for independent practice. On questions 1-5, the student is given an equation and is asked to identify the relationship as that of a direct or inverse variation and to identify the constant of variation.
On questions 6 - 9, the student is given a description of the variation and is asked to find the corresponding equation.
Finally, questions 10 - 12 are application questions. Key included.
