Description
In this INTERACTIVE Direct Variation Real World Problem Task Cards, students will use provided information from mathematical statements and real-world questions to answer questions about direct variation.
The cards will ask students to identify two key concepts:
- Solve using the direct variation formula, y=kx
- Apply ratios to find missing information in an equivalent ratio (direct variation of given variables)
This is a great activity to play for practice when working through understanding or reviewing the skill to maintain mastery. This would be a great group activity to build discourse as you work on congruence and similarity in your classroom.
This LOW PREP activity is easy to implement into your math stations or as a quick activity in your classroom to determine their understanding of the concept.
