Description
This activity is intended to use with students after they have learned the basics of direct variation and have had a couple days of standard practice. Teachers may use this activity as a follow-up, extension, or a final assessment perhaps. I have loved how this activity is conducive to partners and I have only used it as such.
Included in this package is:
1. Student Checklist: a step by step road map which takes students through each step of designing their experiment, collecting data, displaying their data, and creating their final product (which is typically a poster although you could easily have them create their final product using a digital platform like Google slides, etc.).
2. Sample Rubric: clear expectations as to what needs to be included on the final product
3. Teacher Notes Page: helpful hints and tidbits for teacher use only which also includes some sample ideas for scenarios which students have used in the past
