Description
Included in this lesson are 10 mini-projects of directed drawing for young students that integrate drawing and direction following skills with math (learning numbers). Guided drawing with the added line component allows students to build confidence in expressing creativity while developing independent drawing skills!
Students use a multi-step process in creating a final composition that includes a fun object coinciding with a number, lines and color. The main objective is repetition and practice in drawing while incorporating different types of line to enhance the detail of the drawing. Included for each number is a self-assessment that can be done individually or in a group (1st -3rd grade), or whole class discussion (Kindergarten). Additional assessment questions are included for 2nd and 3rd graders.
