Dear Educator,

Thank you for purchasing the Disney Finding Nemo Inspired Roll and Graph Activity. This activity is a fun and engaging way to work on data collection, as well as interpreting the data in numerous different ways.

Included in this packet you will find:

- Roll and Graph Dice

- Roll and Graph Recording Sheet with easy method to help kids track of how many times they have rolled

- Four Roll and Graph Data Sheets

I have always enjoyed doing Roll and Graph activities with my daughter. They are a really fun tool to help teach her about data collection and how to create a graph.

However, I quickly saw that these Roll and Graph activities had a lot more to offer. That’s where the data sheets come in. These sheets take the activity a step further by requiring that students do something with the data they have created.

I’ve included four different data sheets. You can use one or all four based on the needs of your students.

The first data sheet asks students to record the number of times they rolled each symbol. They will write this data as a numeral, numer word, using tally marks, and as a roman numeral.

The second data sheets asks students to add the rolls of two symbols together and find the sum.

The third data sheet asks students to multiply the rolls of two symbols together and find the product.

The final data sheet asks students to compare the rolls of two symbols using < , > , and = .

The Roll and Graph activity is great for use in math centers, as a fun task for early finishers and eager learners, or even as an engaging take home activity for students to complete with their parents. It even works well as a small group activity for several students to complete together.

Thank you again for your purchase of the Disney Finding Nemo Inspired Roll and Graph Activity. I hope that you love it as much as I do.

We had a Nemo theme day and this was perfect for our math block. My aide and I made the dice ahead of time and I highly recommend you do the same. While the dice is part of what my students enjoyed so much, their little hands would not have had the fine motor skills to make them just yet. We made enough for my class to work in partners (as that's all we had time for), which worked perfectly. At the end of the day many students said this math activity was their favorite part! Thanks!
