Description
This note and practice problem set will introduce the difference between distance and displacement. Taking notes using a document camera or using the editable Google Slideshow, students can follow along as you teach about reference points, direction, distance, and displacement as well as calculate distance and identify the direction of the displacement. Following the notes, students can prove their knowledge with practice problems.
I have included 4 different versions of this resource for differentiation and accommodation purposes. Please see the preview for a breakdown of what each of the versions includes.
Please Note: These notes and practice problems are meant for students who are not yet comfortable with the Pythagorean Theorem and therefore only calculates displacement in vertical only or horizontal only examples. Examples that include motion in both horizontal and vertical directions only ask for the direction of displacement.
