Q: What is a codeword search?

A: Pupils answer the questions and convert each of their answers into codewords which need to be found in the word search grid. If a pupil can't match their answer to a codeword then they know they have made a mistake on that question. To stop pupils from cheating some codewords are deliberately hidden in the word search but do not need to be found. Some codewords have very similar answers to one another, so pupils must check their answers carefully!
