Description

A fun and festive activity for working on reading body language, facial expression, nonverbal cues, and gestures! Students are first asked to make an inference about a situation based on context, body language, facial expressions and other forms of nonverbal communication. Next, students are asked a reflection question, to work on abstract language and to facilitate thinking about what caused the situation or what will happen next. This file includes:

  • An interactive, editable Google Slides file
  • A PDF, compressed to a smaller size for faster loading on distance learning platforms
  • A Boom Cards Deck

Please note, you will need a Boom Learning account to use the Boom Cards deck.

Notes on Google Slides

In order to use the Google Slides file, you will need a Google Account.

For a full tutorial on using Google slides, please check out this link: Google Slides Teacher Center

A few quick tips:

  • Remember to make a copy and save it to your drive. Do not attempt to edit the file by sending a request for edit access (I cannot grant that, as it would change the file for anyone who downloads it.) Instead make a copy, and you have my permission to fully edit and modify as needed! :)
  • In order to use the interactive features of the file, the slides must be in 'edit' mode, not 'presentation' mode.
  • If you're new to using Google Slides, I have included a free Google Slides preview of the file. Please feel free to add that to your Google Drive and play around with it before purchasing!
