Description
Students need a box of paperclips and a small jar of water. So many ways to extend this activity by changing the jar, the level of water, the kind of clips. I've included worksheets to make that easy!
This could be a quick activity or could be extended for several class periods depending on the options you choose.
I pulled apart Clips in a Jar and added many resources to make this easy to share with your students as an online or independent activity.
Do you need your resources to be available online?
- Import the Word™ documents, activity videos, audio and video recordings, and PowerPoint™ resource to share in your online classroom.
Do you need to create an independent work packet to send home?
- Print an independent work packet that includes: the How To worksheet, a short text, and essay questions that include suggestions for extensions!
Are you concerned about students understanding the text?
- We created videos for the resources that highlight the text as it is read to students.
- The short text, essay questions, and extensions are saved in English and Spanish, with videos that read the text to students
What if students don’t have all the supplies?
- Watch a short video showing the activity up close and from a distance.
A PowerPoint™ has several copyright free images that can promote student curiosity as they learn about water and cohesion.
A web page created just my distance learning cohesion products has resources that are kid friendly, easy to read, often with activity videos, and few if any distracting ads.
It's difficult to suggest a duration as it depends on the options you choose. If you choose all four options, this could be four science sessions or more!
I have dozens of products you might consider for distance learning and chemistry.
