Description
Want to see how to move a loop of thread floating in a bowl of water without touching the thread? You just need a bit of soap!
There are many ways to try this activity. This could be one session or many sessions depending on the options you choose.
Do you need your resources to be available online?
- Import the Word™ documents into your online classroom. Edit the documents to customize them.
- Import the activity videos, audio and video recordings, and PowerPoint™ resource to share.
Do you need to create a work packet to send home?
- Print the independent work packet that includes: the How To worksheet, a short text that explains the science involved in the activity, and suggestions for extensions!
Are you concerned about students understanding the text?
- We created videos for the How to, short texts in English and Spanish, and the extensions in both English and Spanish that highlight the text as it is read to students.
What if students don’t have all the supplies?
- Watch a short video showing the activity only or watch a short video that shows the activity while the set up and the science is explained.
Suggested answers for the extensions are included.
