Inspire your students to think beyond the paper. Food for thought incorporates figurative language and plays on words to create puzzling questions that promote critical thinking.

Is there a logical explanation? Can the imagination run wild to investigate the answer? Will students be inspired to create a new way to solve these questions?

I use these questions weekly during gifted instruction sessions as writing prompts. However, they can also be used for daily discussions.
