Description

This digital unlock requires no-prep! It is fully digital and does not require boxes, locks, or any printing. It is great for any teacher who wants to infuse technology into the classroom while developing critical thinking and creativity! Students enjoy solving the puzzles to learn about food chains and to get to the next challenge of the unlock to win the game.

Though powered by Google Forms, students do not have to have a Google login to complete these activities! However, it's always a good idea to check with your IT tech if you're not sure.

This digital scavenger hunt activity contains 20 self-graded questions with information on Food Chains and contains 3 puzzles or clues students must figure out. As students explore and learn about different organisms in a food chain and how they are all connected, they will discover and cipher the codes, entering them into the Google Form. As they unlock each section, they are able to move on to the next.

Students will learn (SWL) all about how food chains pass energy down from organism to organism.

SWL about the difference between producers, consumers and decomposers

SWL to distinguish between predators and prey

My students love "escape rooms"! This resource was great for helping students develop their concepts around Food Chains in a fun way. They could work with partners of different abilities which gave everyone the chance to learn and teach.
