Share

Description

Apocalypse-Themed, project-based activities, perfect for when in lockdown due to COVID-19 and social distancing.

This is 'dystopian' or 'apocalypse'-themed, distance learning project that will be used whilst the children are off school. This resource spreads across 7 tasks (these could be set weekly or daily) which last for an hour each.

Children will describe their own apocalyptic threat (how relevant!), conduct research into survival techniques, write an information text on creating a shelter and then describe their way out of the threat. Everything you need to provide for the children to complete this work is included.

This task works well for children ages 7-11. It can be modified to work with a wider audience as editable versions are included.

This download includes:

- PDF version of the 6-task home learning project (4 pages)

- Word Document version of the home learning project

- 3 fonts for editing .docx Word documents

Initially, from an aesthetic point of view, I was really impressed with how well this resource is laid out. The content is fantastic, it looks beautiful and its all really engaging - I had great feedback from my students. I used the editable version to slightly tweak a couple of things to make it more applicable to my class, but I needn't do much... it was pretty ideal from the get go. Also, the fonts were really useful for editing my other resources. I'll come back again! Thanks, Lost in Learning!
