Description

This no-prep distance learning slideshow has everything your students need to practice integrating information from pictures and words in a nonfiction text. They will use the illustrations, photographs, diagrams, maps, graphs, charts, and timelines to understand informational texts. They will also use animations and interactive elements to find important information on a web page.

Assign the slideshow to your students at the beginning of the week. There are activities for Monday through Friday.

  • For the first 3 days, the students will watch a video or do an activity to practice the strategy. Then, they will read independently and apply the strategy. If students don’t have a lot of books at home, they can read on Epic, Rivet, or another website that has books online.

  • On Day 4, the students will listen to a book and answer questions to apply the week’s standard.

  • On Day 5, the students will complete an assessment to check for mastery of the standard.
