This deck includes 20 student practice slides. Each of the slides consists of a unique equation that involves distributing. Students will solve the equation using learned strategies and can show their work on either the included printable page, a white board, or notebook paper. Students enter their answer into the text boxes, and press enter to check their answer! Because Boom Cards automatically give instant feedback to students, they help students catch their mistakes and force them to pay attention to the details!

Two of the included problems have fractional coefficients, and two have only a negative sign as the coefficient. All answers result in integers and can be entered as the number by itself or x = #.

What are Boom Cards?

Boom cards are a must-have for any tech-savvy teacher! Essentially, they are self-correcting task cards that allow students to check their answers as they work. There are Boom Card decks for every subject and topic, allowing them to be a constant routine or center in your classroom!

To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for modern Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with "Fast Pins," (a form of play that gives instant feedback to students for self-grading Boom Cards). For assignment options that report student progress back to you, you will need to purchase a premium account.
