Distributive Property Note Pages:

Included in this set of digital pages are 5 pages on the distributive property. The first page introduces students to the distributive property where the operation included in addition. The 2nd page has students practice using the distributive property with addition problems. The 3rd page shows students the distributive property when the operation is subtraction. Page 4 quickly reviews the multiplicative identity property of 1. The 5th and final page has students practice using the distributive property to simplify expressions. Colored and black and white versions of each page are included (to allow for students who may need the differentiation).

Distributive Property Activity Pages:

Included in this set of digital pages are 4 pages on using the distributive property. The first page has students use arrows to determine how to simplify 3 problems using the distributive property. The questions on that page do not have a constant in front of the x term. The 2nd page has students simplify expressions using the distributive property. Students move a box with a simplified expression to mark each answer. The last 2 pages are very similar except the expressions on those pages have a constant with the variable term. There are multiple options available with this resource – an all-white version, and a colored version. Each matching page has extra answer boxes to make it a tiny more difficult. If you prefer not to have that extra box simply delete it before sending the assignment to students.
